ISO 45001:2018 Officially Awarded

By Kirsty Fletcher-Reid on 19 Nov 2019

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety System (OHS) standard for the operation of our fleet of 15 vessels.

The recently released ISO 45001:2018 OHS, the successor to OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series), is an internationally recognised standard which requires organisations to identify, manage and strictly control health and safety risks in their workplace, and create better and safer working conditions for their employees. The certification sets a benchmark of expertise and excellence for operations across our fleet. The certification complements the ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) standards awarded in 2018 and further demonstrates our commitment to continual improvement.

Craig Ramsay, Marine Operations Director, "This is a fantastic achievement and highlights our commitment to providing the highest standards of safety as part of our culture. We will continue to invest in the improvement of our processes and procedures to demonstrate a forward thinking, proactive approach, resulting in a positive impact for our stakeholders."
